Joshua Furth:
Joshua, known to his team as Josh, was born and raised in Connecticut. He started swimming for Cheshire Y/Sea Dog Swim Club and continued swimming for his high school team at Hopkins School. While in high school he led his team to two Western New England Prep School championships as both a freshman and senior (courtesy of goduke.com). He was also an individual champion in the 200 free, 100 back, 100 fly and both 400 free and 200 medley relay throughout his career. Before coming to Duke as both a junior and senior, Josh was chosen as a representative for Connecticut’s Swimming Board of Directors.
Club:
Josh swam for Cheshire Y/Sea Dog Swim Club under Sean Farrell. He was a 2014 Junior Nationals Qualifier and he also represented the US in the 2013 World Maccabiah Games.
Personal:
Josh is a part of Pratt School of Engineering and plans on majoring in Mechanical Engineering
