2026 Commonwealth Games

The big news in the mixed 4×100 free relay is that neither Canada nor South Africa appear to be swimming the event this morning. The relay teams for both nations are blank on the official start lists, indicating that no team has been submitted this morning.

The Bahamas, who were entered twice on the initial start sheets, also seem to have scratched the event.

Australia and England both put out strong teams, with half of the Australian men’s 4×100 free team from last night in action. Kai Taylor and Harrison Turner are joined by Alexandria Perkins and Hannah Casey, while Tom Dean will feature for England after splitting 47.99 on the prelims relay yesterday for the men.

Scotland and Wales will be the teams battling for bronze tonight with New Zealand, with both British nations keeping their big guns off the heats quartet. Duncan Scott and Evelyn Davis for Scotland, and Matt Richards and Theodora Taylor for Wales, will come on tonight, but New Zealand look to have their strongest team this morning.
