Position Summary
Villa Sport Athletic Club and Spa in Cinco Ranch TX is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Swim Coach to lead our competitive swim program. This role is responsible for developing swimmers of all levels, fostering a positive team environment, and overseeing daily swim team operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about coaching, athlete development, and creating a fun, safe, and competitive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the swim team program
- Plan and conduct daily practices for various age groups and skill levels
- Develop season training plans, goals, and progression strategies
- Supervise and mentor assistant coaches
- Coordinate and attend swim meets, including scheduling and entries
- Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and staff
- Ensure safety standards and policies are followed at all times
- Assist with recruitment and retention of swimmers
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture aligned with Villa Sport values
Qualifications
- Previous swim coaching experience (Head Coach or Senior Coach preferred)
- Strong knowledge of stroke technique, training methods, and competitive swimming
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Current lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain)
- USA Swimming certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and meet schedules
