Ilya Kharun on 50.6 100 Fly in Indy: “On track to what I want to go this summer”

Ilya Kharun roared to a 50.61 in the men’s 100 fly tonight in Indy, giving him the win atop a loaded field. Kharun currently holds the #3 time in the world this season, courtesy of his 50.40 in December of 2025. The Sundevil is coming off a successful campaign at the Mare Nostrum tour, where he won numerous races and garnered the title of overall men’s money earner of the 3-meet series. Kharun will look to make a splash next month at the US National Championship in Irvine, his focus meet for the summer.

Yes, like most Arizona St swimmers he is probably on track to drop .3 – .4 seconds when he tapers.

More than likely he’s saying that ASU swimmers swim really well in season and barely drop at the end of the season.

50.6 now
50.2-50.3 when rested at the end of the season
