Oliver Klemet is having a great meet in Stockholm, clocking 3:43 for the win in the 400 and 14:41 in the 1500 for 2nd behind his training partner, Johannes Liebmann. Klemet, an open water specialist, broke his arm in the fall after the Singapore world championships and has slowly been coming back from the injury. As this was his only chance to qualify for the pool swimming at this summer’s European Championships, Klemet was pleased with his results in Sweden.

From Saturday prelims I say that Sarah S swam 24.62 in the prelims of the 50 Free.
Brooks Curry tied the meet in the 100 Free 48.03
Gabriel Jett is less than 1 second of the meet record in the 200 Fly
Just compared to the meet records.
Not his first broken arm, what does he do when he is not swimming?
I missed counting how many weeks with Open water and pool meets it sounded like he is doing, something like 3-4 in a row and some more that were not back to back
First of all, impressed that their English is so good. I wish our schools in USA put more emphasis on learning the second language.
Secondly, he hit the nail on the head saying it sounds glamorous to go to all these meets around the world, but 90% of the time, the athletes see the pool and hotel for the most part!
Thirdly, that coach is doing something better than anyone else with so many different elite distance guys!
The women might not be at the same level as the men, but they do have some very good including recently retired.
Sharon, Moesha and Isabel are a good squad. They are more established in open water than in the pool though.
Was Sarah W better in the pool or open water?
