Swim Job: Trinity College seeks Graduate Assistant Swim Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION

Trinity College logoTrinity College in Hartford CT, an NCAA Division III, liberal arts and science college in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), is seeking to fill a graduate assistant for both our men’s and women’s swimming teams.

DUTIES

While pursuing graduate studies, the Fellow will be assigned duties as an Assistant Coach of Men’s and Women’s Swimming in all aspects of the program. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in the development of leading and organizing all facets of a Division III men’s and women’s swimming program, knowledge of and adherence to NESCAC and NCAA rules, recruiting, practice planning and execution, teaching responsibilities and mentoring student-athletes. The Fellow will also have administrative duties within the Department.
Graduate programs are available which lead to the Master of Arts degree in different fields (American Studies, English, and Public Policy).

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree. Proven successful men’s and/or women’s swimming coaching experience and/or swimming experience. Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, advanced social media skills, and a strong knowledge of swimming. Ability to teach physical education courses in aquatics preferred. Candidate should be considering a career in college coaching.
