Chloe Sutton, 2008 Olympian, is one of many swim-stars debuting “interesting” media before Olympic Trials and the Olympic Games. Chloe has netted five medals in major international competition; 3 gold, a silver, and a bronze. She came to fame as an Open Water swimmer but is focusing on the distance pool races this summer; 400 and 800 meters freestyle.

This is embarrassing. Sutton comes across as a total airhead.
Someone didn’t proofread this video very carefully. She swims 13,0000 meters per day?? Either we have an extra zero on our hands or a superwoman, aqua style. Other than that, “interesting” is a good way to put it!
No, they do 13k daily. They are prepping for a 10k distance race; they do 2+ workouts daily. It’s not crazy to think they do 6k in the morning and 7k in the afternoon.
High school and collegiate swimmers (especially those specializing in distance events) will routinely do 8k meters in a 2 hour workout during heavy training.
13,0000 (notice 4 zeros) does not equal 13k
Really liked it from 2:20 onwards…
Funny, I most definitely enjoyed the first 2:20 the most.
I guess I should add that I watched it with the sound turned off, as I was at work. I can’t comment on anything but the aesthetics…
…what did I just watch?
Not gonna lie, I snorted a bit at the line “All the water that will ever be, is right now.”
that was really weird.
I am sure Bobo will love this though
(note, Bobo, i’m just poking fun at you!)
I’m sure I’m not the only one to appreciate the video. I don’t understand the use of it but there are beautiful pictures.
Just turn the sound off and don’t use it for an English lesson.
@ Don,
I actually LOL’d at that…
@3:17…. swims 13,0000 meters a day? lol oops
That’s like… 1:07 pace 100′s… 24 hours a day… It’s possible?
Am I missing something? That’s a 5k in the morning and 8k in the evening. A lot, but not unusual for a world class distance swimmer.
You are missing a zero, not 13,000 but 13,0000
That was painful and yet hilarious…Like Junker, I actually snorted.
What just happened???
My first was also “what am I watching here.” I did like the Benny Benassi song though–Cinema. I thought the video was actually kind of cool, I’m just not sure what the purpose of making it was.
The purpose of the video was to boost her self-esteem before Olympic Trials. Confidence is not her strong suit and if she is not the talk of the meet/odds-on-favorite to win, things are bound to spiral out of control.
HI WOW,
I’m the director of the vid, so hopefully I can set this straight. The purpose of this vid was not to boost anyone’s self esteem before trials. It was to present Chloe and her love for swimming in a positive light, amidst beautiful scenery and coupled with wonderful swimwear. Confidence is her strong suit and not only is she a wonderful person to work with, she is a smart and sincere role model for her community. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Don Le
Hey @Don Le, can I do drugs with you guys next time you make a video??
wow you really don’t know Chloe….haha…a competitor maybe?
Funny thing is I do… What happened at World Championships in Shanghai last summer? She was dominating the US meets and nobody could touch her. Put her on an international level where there are people as good as she is and look what happened. Now you might say that Coach Bill Rose screwed up her taper or what have you, but the counter argument to that is that Chad La Tourette and Ashley Twichell both swam lights out.
Same with the 2008 Olympics.
I don’t know who the huger nerd is here: Chloe Sutton for using the “Final Fantasy” crystal theme over the credits or me for recognizing the “Final Fantasy” crystal theme
Haha, I recognized it as well.
haha! you guys are rough. It is just a film guy wanting to try something artsy…Chloe is amazing, smart, confident and a rare beauty. She really just did it as a favor for this photographer guy. Its fun to rock a photo shoot!
Chris, I actually chose that Final Fantasy 7 theme, not Chloe. It’s because I’m a huge game nerd as well. ; )
Don
Wow. That was painfully embarrassing.
Poor Baby. She most likely wont make the Olympic team.
Coming soon to Cinemax – The Red Suit Diaries!!
As evvirt commented, you swim fans are a tough tough crowd, there’s no pleasing you lot is there, eh lol
I personally thoroughly enjoyed the video, thought it was fun, well done. Chloe looked cool in it (and beautiful), not to mention this will definitely make Bobo’s day no doubt haha
Question for the director or anyone who may know the answer… What piece of music is playing starting at around 1:21? The moody solo piano ballad – is that also a Final Fantasy theme?
Yes I appreciate the video but I don’t understand the use of it. But it’s still nice to watch.
Although I wouldn’t say I like it, it’s not as hard to watch as the video posted earlier with Park Tae-Hwan. Understandably that’s from a totally different cultural taste but WTF! nonetheless.
The cinematographer was great, but took itself waaaaay too seriously (especially the voiceovers).
Water…
Two hydrogen atoms bonded to an oxygen.
Water…
The only natural substance with a higher density in its liquid than solid form.
Water…
It makes you wet.
Wat’er…
You doing with that camera?
Awful, ridiculous, laughable…5 minutes of my life just wasted.
And yet…I watched it twice. See you next week at Trials Chloe, swim fast, wave to me in the stands (green hat, not a creep at all!)
This is just very unfortunate and embarrassing. I honestly couldn’t contain my laughter throughout the entire video, especially with the voice in the background talking about water. I honestly hope that if she makes it to the Olympics, no one brings this video to the press because I guarantee you she will absolutely get hammered with negativity. As to Don, I really like your photography; however, this was extremely way too much and makes Chloe seem like a self-centered girl. Hopefully this video does not become popular.
ITLSwimming,
here you go, “Final Fantasy 7 Theme”:
INTLSwimming, the track that plays at 1:21+ is Phillip Glass’ “Truman Sleeps” from the movie “The Truman Show” with Jim Carrey. One of my favorite flicks and songs:

Glad you enjoyed the music and clip. Thank you for the support.
It made me nervous when she was diving into those shallow pools.
Y’all are cracking me up with these comments!
Be nice to the poor kid, she’s got a meet next week!
really really lame. really.
dude, if u guys are listening to the words u missing the point. when i saw her walking up the stairs i knew my focus
2:03 WTF????
Wanted to let everyone know that this Video of Chloe Sutton was shot in Laguna Beach at the Unix Mansion.
Has she graduated from online high school yet?
Chloe is absolutely gorgeous and a phenomenal swimmer, she is going to have a great career.
