Florida 1A State Finalist Elliott Angkriwan to Head Up North with Commitment to Toronto for 2026

Bolles School Sharks’ Elliott Angkriwan has committed to the University of Toronto to further his academic and athletic careers beginning in the fall of 2026.

Angkriwan announced his commitment to SwimSwam with the following message:

Angkriwan hails from Surabaya, Indonesia, but represents the Bolles School Sharks stateside in Jacksonville, FL. In November at the FHSAA Class 1A State Championships, Angkriwan finished 13th overall in the 50 freestyle, his only individual event at the meet, clocking a career best 21.50. He also swam on a pair of prelims relays for  Bolles, including the leadoff 200 free relay leg in 21.65 and an anchor on the 200 medley relay in 21.58.

In December, Angkriwan raced at the RAFC Winter Classic, where he clocked several major best times, including the 50 breaststroke (25.46), 100 breast (55.53), 50 butterfly (23.09), and the 100 IM (52.34). A year earlier, at the same meet, he clocked his fastest-ever 100 free in 48.46.

In November, Angkriwan swam his fastest ever 200 free in 1:44.85 and 200 breast in 2:06.51 at the FAST High School State Time Trial. He also boasts a 200 IM best time of 1:55.40 from the Winter Junior Championships time trials in mid-December.

Best Times SCY Converted to SCM:

Angkriwan joins a Toronto team that just finished as runners-up to the University of British Columbia at the USports Championships last month.

Based on his converted best times, he would have been 2nd  on this season’s Toronto roster in the 200 breast, 3rd in the 100 breast, and 7th in the 200 free.

Angkriwan still sits outside the scoring range, but has yet to fully get into short-course meters racing, meaning there is still plenty of untapped potential for years to come.

Angkriwan is the first publicized commitment for the Varsity Blue men in the 2026 recruiting class.
