2024 U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS

Torri Huske became a 2x Olympian on Sunday night, finishing 2nd in the 100 fly behind world record holder Gretchen Walsh. Huske discusses how she was able to slow down and do things she enjoyed outside of the pool.

She had a great year. I wonder if she’ll go pro. Keep taking classes at Stanford and training there but not swimming for the team, like Ledecky did

I’m starting to be convinced that Meehan’s training isn’t the problem but rather having to take organic chemistry with Condoleeza Rice’s nephew and the next Elizabeth Holmes in between doubles may not be optimal for the 100 fly

She is THE example of how people need to chill and understand the life circumstances these swimmers have. I saw her swim a long time ago and it was clear she was elite. It is no surprise that a year off from college swim was key to pull back and concentrate on swimming LCM. The comments after some of her previous swims, when she was balancing a tough schedule and SCY swimming, were appalling.

Torri is swimming GREAT. Not just this week but also in the months leading up to this. Definitely made the most of her redshirt year.
