Caroline Bricker picked up a winning double for Cheyenne Mountain, starting with a new 4A Record in the 200 IM and finishing with a 100 breast win.
There were a couple of Class 1 Records set at the meet. Nerinx Hall’s Brooke Punnewaert repeated as champion in the 200 IM.
The previous pool record was held at 51.13, and the state record was 49.24.
Newman racked up a final score of 624.65, beating the field by nearly 200 points. Newman broke both the pool record and NM state record with his score.
Reagan Cathcart, also a senior and a Utah commit, swam a 23.33 to win the 50 free, breaking the MSHSAA Class II record with the swim.
Keller won the 100 breast, swimming a 56.87, touching first by 5 seconds.
Butte High School senior Catherine Russo defended her title in the 50 free, winning it for the 4th year in a row.
Dang, a Stanford commit, set the mark in the 100 breast. He was also the 200 free champion as he clipped his best in 1:38.52.
