Cole Jernigan helped the TR Miller boys to a team title. Jernigan swept the sprint freestyles, posting a 22.18 in the 50 free and a 49.55 in the 100 free.
Davis Legnon of Pope John Paul II High School set a new Division 4 Record in the 50 free. Legnon clocked in at 21.07 to erase the former 10-year-old mark.
University of Tennessee commit Cole Whitsett has broken the National Independent High School Record in the 100 fly in short course meters.
Rathle went on to win the 200 IM individually, breaking the LHSAA Record with a 1:49.91. He then broke his own D3 Record with a 56.41 win in the 100 breast.
Daphne High’s Andrew Jordan and Trey Sheils won 4 events. Sheils dominated the 200 IM by nearly 5 seconds (1:50.52) before taking the 100 breast in 55.90.
Gabrielle O’Neil of Saint Scholastica broke her own 200 freestyle record while 3 male swimmers earned double winner status.
Multiple 5A state meet record were broken as the Boise High School girls and boys team become back-to-back IDHSAA Champions.
In a meet decided by the final event, the Liberty Renton girls managed to edge 2018 champion Sammamish by four points to secure the team title.
