200 free champion Madi Mintenko of Pikes Peak dropped 4 seconds to win heat 2 with 2:19.79. That held up until heat 5 as the fastest time, when Sophie Segerson of Bellevue Club won with 2:19.33.
Sierra Marlins Swim Team’s Ava Chavez dropped 1.8 to win heat 9 with 2:18.36, taking over the lead as the top time of the morning.
In the first circle-seeded heat, Mission Viejo’s Teagan O’Dell won by two body lengths, touching in 2:15.32 ahead of Belleveue Club’s Alexa McDevitt (2:18.19) and Santa Clara’s Eunice Lee (2:18.87).
Elle Scott from NOVA of Virginia took heat 13 in 2:17.16, followed closely by King Aquatic Club’s Camden Doane (2:17.41). Edina’s Katie McCarthy (2:19.83) touched third.
Pikes Peak’s Caroline Bricker won the last heat in 2:17.41, just touching out Audrey Derivaux of Jersey Wahoos (2:17.50) and Avery Klamfoth from SwimMAC Carolina (2:17.63).

Rose Bowl’s Logan Noguchi and Utah Valley’s Sean Honey were the first sub-2:06 swimmers, as Noguchi came from behind to touch out Honey, 2:05.52 to 2:05.71, in heat 8. It was a 2.7-second drop for Noguchi and a 1.7-second improvement for Honey.
Three heats later, Joe Polyak from Iowa Flyers unleashed a 2:03.91, dropping 3.8 seconds to win his heat.
Metroplex’s Jacob Turner took 2.2 seconds off his PB to win heat 15 with 3:02.75. It remained the fastest time until Lakeside’s Cooper Lucas (2:03.26) and Gwinnett’s Baylor Stanton (2:03.32) raced to a thrilling finish in the first circle-seeded heat to move to the lead.
Diego Nosack from Tualatin Hills won heat 18 with 2:02.91 ahead of Carmel’s Gregg Enoch (2:03.76) and Bolles School’s Carter Lancaster (2:03.87).
The final heat went to top-seeded Michael Hochwalt of Spokane Waves in 2:02.28. Arlington’s Simon Bermudez dropped just over a second to touch second with 2:03.22. Tony Laurito from South Shore Sails was third with 2:04.09, taking .9 off his seed time.
