Minnesota men sweep Swimmer, Diver of Week after comeback win vs NC State

Kyler Van Swol was named Swimmer of the Week after some dominant butterfly performances, while Manny Pollard won Diver of the Week for his work on the boards. Northwestern got in on the action with freshman diver Andrew Cramer earning Freshman of the Week.

VIDEO: York YMCA takes a Saturday look-back at swimming tradition with some 1940’s-era strokes

At the end of a three-and-a-half hour Saturday workout, the York YMCA coaches took an opportunity to teach the team about its own Olympic tradition and the major technical changes in the last 60-some years of swimming. Check out the video of the kids trying out 1940s-era competition strokes.

Indiana women take two of three weekly Big Ten awards, Minnesota diver honored

Brooklynn Snodgrass won her 8th Big Ten Weekly Honor in just two years of collegiate swimming. Hoosier freshman Gia Dalesandro was also honored, as was Minnesota’s Sarah McCrady.
