Collin Schuster, a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American who attends the Singapore American School in Singapore and swims for Dubuque Area Swimmin’ Hurricanes in the summer, has verbally committed to Northwestern University for 2020-21. He will join Graysen Bernard, Jacob Rosner, and Michael Linnihan in the class of 2024.

Schuster competed at 2019 Speedo Junior Nationals this summer in the 50m free, 100 back, 200 back, and 100 fly. He notched PBs in all four events and finaled in the 100 back (7th) and 200 back (24th). He hit the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials standard in the 100m back in prelims, going 56.40 to qualify 4th for the final. Earlier in the summer he had gone best times in the 100m free, 50m breast, 50m fly, and 200m IM. Last fall at the FINA World Cup in Singapore he improved his lifetime bests in the SCM 50/100/200 free, 100/200 back, and 200 IM.
