CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI swim and dive received their first team win of the season in a dominant performance against Mankato State at home on Friday. The Panthers beat the Mavericks by a score of 202 to 97.

The Panthers won all but one event with 11 individual event winners. They also won both relays in the 200 medley relay (1:46.95) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:37.84).

Katie Taylor was the winner of three individual events in the 50 free (24.17), 100 free (52.48), and the 100 fly (56.66).

UNI took both diving wins with Anna Penning (234.22) winning the 1 meter and Jayden Lovell (245.24) winning the 3 meter.

The Panthers next meet will be November 1st and 2nd as they take on St. Cloud State, South Dakota State, and South Dakota in Sioux Falls, SD.

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa. — The Minnesota State women’s swimming and diving team recorded 10 top-two finishes in its road dual at Northern Iowa.

No team scores were kept.

Sophomore Katie Streiff won the lone event for the Mavericks Friday evening as she posted a time of 2:12.52 in the 200 IM. Streiff, sophomores Anja Enervold and Emily Goodman and senior Maggie Knier also took second place in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:49.39.

The Mavericks also took second place in the 200 freestyle relay as the team of Knier, Enervold and sophomores Grace Gavronski and Nikki Ault, posted a time of 1:40.05.

Senior Jaycie Klein took second place in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 201.74 points, while freshman Ayla Taylor claimed fourth place in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 213.67.

Goodman claimed a second place finish in a pair of events as well, including the 100 breaststroke (1:07.70) and the 200 breaststroke (2:28.04). Knier took second place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.63, while Enervold took second in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:08.91.

Junior Emelia Selky added a second place finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:57.75, while freshman Nicole Beckman took second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:16.34.

Minnesota State returns to action on Friday, Oct. 25, as it takes part in the two-day Sioux Falls Quad Dual in Sioux Falls, S.D.
