Japan divers excel in Singapore as the season comes to an end |

Japanese divers stood out this weekend in Singapore (SIN) on the occasion of the FINA Diving Grand Prix, as the 2016 edition came to an end on Sunday November 6.
Hazuki Miyamoto and Nana Sasaki set the tone for Japan after winning the women’s 3m and 10m with 281.40 and 318.90 points respectively. The men’s 10m title was also pocketed by Japan with Reo Nishida (409.00). Home favourites Joshua James Chong/Ashlee Tanthe were the second highest scorer in the 3m mixed event, while Japan’s Hazuki Miyamoto/Reo Nishida claimed gold with a point tally of 263.10. Finally China, the major diving force since many years, claimed the title in the men’s 3m with Chen Linhai (436.80) as well as the men’s 3m synchro. Japan and Ukraine (only team competing) earned the gold medal available in the mixed events.
