SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women’s swimming and diving team took down the Providence College Friars and Holy Cross Crusaders this weekend, finishing out with scores of 216.5-82.5 and 188-112.
The Bulldogs are now 4-0 on the season.

Notes and Notables: Providence

  • Megan Beasley continued her win streak this weekend, placing first in the 1m and 3m dives. Beasley has yet to lose on the diving board this season and now holds both records for the Bulldogs.
  • The 200-yard medley IM (Fox, Niemcyzk, Doersch, Figueroa) dominated with a race time of 2:00.18.
  • Makayla Pearce switched it up this weekend with an 800-yard freestyle, racing with a time of 9:21 to secure the victory. Pearce also snagged the win in the 400 free (4:34.76).
  • Jaqui Fox was victorious in the 100-yard backstroke, taking first with a time of 1:05.96.
  • Elayana Pistrin took the win in the 100-yard breaststroke while Alice Stenbeck and Kaitlyn Archambeault placed in the top four.
  • Marcella Figueroa grabbed another 50 freestyle wins to continue her season streak.
  • Niemcyzk earned herself a win in the 100-yard freestyle.
  • Elayana Pistrin placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:40.27.
  • Clara Steen led the race in the 100-yard butterfly with Mustacciuolo, both finishing one and two overall.
  • Ruby Tonelli won the 200 IM (2:25.21).
  • The 200-yard freestyle took the win to close out the meet with a time of 1:50.11, with Figueroa closing out the pack to secure the win with a time of 27 flat.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men’s swimming and diving team took down the Providence College Friars and Holy Cross Crusaders this weekend with a 94 and 30-point deficit, finishing out with 189-95 and 162-132.
The Bulldogs are now 3-1 on the season.

Notes and Notables: Providence

  • Christopher Buonocore wins the 1-meter and 3-meter dives with scores of 336.07 and 352.50.
  • The 200 Yard Medley Relay (Lajoie, Misto, Austin, Andrews) wins with a time of 1:45.41.
  • Leo Luna dominates the long-distance swim events, snagging first in the 800 and 400-yard freestyle.
  • Freshman Raymond Stelmark grabs his first 200-yard freestyle win with a time of 1:56.15.
  • Nick Toepfer, with a time of 58.21, wins the 100-yard backstroke.
  • Nick Austin grabs his first win in the 100-yard breaststroke.
  • James MistoConner Lofstrom, and Nick Andrews go 1-2-3 in the 50-yard freestyle, marking the team’s first triple-place finish.
  • Nick Andrews and Conner Lofstrom go one and three in the 100-yard freestyle, and Rowson grabs a top-six finish.
  • Valentin Honsberger wins the 200-yard backstroke with a finish of 2:10.78.
  • Aidan Trenery and Jack Ferguson go one and two in the 200-yard breaststroke.
  • Misto took first in the 100-yard butterfly.
  • Tim Andrews comes back in the 200-yard IM, taking first.
  • The men’s 200-yard freestyle relay (Toepfer, Andrews, Lofstrom, and Misto) takes first with a time of 1:34.75.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams hosted Bryant in a dual meet on Friday, Nov. 1 at Taylor Natatorium in Providence, R.I. The men’s team was defeated by the Bulldogs, 189-95. The women’s team was defeated by Bryant, 216.5-82.5.
