15 year old Tes Schouten, 16 year old Marrit Steenbergen and 17 year old Nyls Korstanje all set new Dutch age group marks on the second day of the Hague Grand Prix. Schouten, who won the 50 breaststroke on Friday, took the women’s 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:09.86 breaking the Dutch age group mark for 15 year olds.

Steenbergen won the women’s 100 freestyle in a time of 55.04 breaking the record of 55.57 which she broke only two weeks ago. Her time is still quite far off her lifetime best of 53.97, which she posted last year in Baku.

Both Schouten and Steenbergen were part of the Dutch 4 x 100 medley relay that won silver at the European Games last summer.

Korstanje took the men’s 100 butterfly in a time of 54.71 setting a new Dutch record for 16 year olds. He was also off of his lifetime best of 54.66.

National team members Sebastiaan Verschuren and Maarten Brzoskowski battled for the title in the men’s 200 freestyle, which was one of the tightest races of the evening. Verschuren took the event in a time of 1:48.88 followed by Brzoskowski who touched in a time of 1:49.49.
