Solutions to Sore Swimmer Shoulders

  0 Garrett McCaffrey | February 11th, 2015

Fixing injuries is more than just relieving the pain. It’s re-learning the movement.

Even in a low volume program, like our Senior 1 group at Phoenix Swim Club, shoulders will get sore from time to time. We took a day last week to recover and, as I like to say, put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Larry Arnold works with all types of athletes and non-athletes but his background as a swimmer helps him relate to swimmers like not many strength coaches can. In this video he talks about learning how to use the shoulder unit vs. using the shoulder joint.
