Veracruz, Mexico – As reported yesterday, Day 3’s Finals of the 2014 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games’ swim competition were cancelled due to extremely high winds. As of this morning, the rescheduling of those finals appears on the CAC’s Daily Events Calendar as being spread out over the remaining three days of competition. The week’s Finals Sessions now read like this:
11/18/14: Finals begin at 18:00
- Women’s 100m freestyle (rescheduled from 11/17)
- Men’s 50m butterfly (rescheduled from 11/17)
- Women’s 200m breaststroke
- Men’s 400m freestyle
- Women’s 400m IM
- Men’s 200m backstroke
- Women’s 100m butterfly
- Men’s 50m breaststroke
- Men’s 4 x 100m medley relay
11/19/14: Finals begin at 19:00
- Men’s 400m IM (rescheduled from 11/17)
- Men’s 200m freestyle
- Women’s 200m IM
- Men’s 50m backstroke
- Women’s 800m freestyle
- Men’s 100m butterfly
- Women’s 50m breaststroke (rescheduled from 11/17)

11/20/14: Finals begin at 19:00

The weather for tonight’s finals in Veracruz predict temperatures in the upper 60’s with a slim chance of precipitation and winds in the 14 mph range.
