Psych Sheets Released For 2015 CIS Swimming Championships

The psych sheets have officially been released for the 2015 CIS Championships which will run February 19-21 in Victoria, B.C.

On the men’s side, Coleman Allen from UBC has the most first seeds with a total of six. With Allen’s six, the UBC men take the top seed in a total of 11 events out of a possible 16. There is nobody set up to sweep any of the stroke or IM events, and it will come down to a dog-fight to see if anyone will be able to claim the sprinters cup (an award given to any swimmer who wins both the 50 and 100 freestyles at any CIS Championships).

On the women’s side Katerine Savard of Montreal is set up very nicely to sweep the fly events. She’s the top seed by a long-shot in all three flys, and with her international experience a sweep is very possible for her. The breaststroke on the women’s side will be extremely competitive. Fiona Doyle, Erin Stamp, Tera Van Beilen, Vanessa Treasure, and Sarah-Lee Hevey are all entered in the 200m breaststroke which should make for a very exciting race.

Sandrine Mainville is currently ranked first in the 50 freestyle, but seventh in the 100. Last year she won both events claiming the sprinters cup, which looks to be a much more difficult task this season.

Below are all the top seeds in every individual event.
