Can someone explain to me how that top picture is legal breast stroke? Do the judges just not care because it is a 50?

ChestRockwell – unless you can see through that splash and I can’t, I don’t see anything illegal about it. Looks like the angle his arms are at would still have his elbows in the water.

Yeah, elbows definitely underwater and that was the height of the stroke.
