Illinois District 211 Schools Choose Colorado Time Systems

  2 Gold Medal Mel Stewart | November 11th, 2014

The five high schools in Cook County’s District 211(IL) are each constructing a new natatorium. James B. Conant High School has already broken ground, with the first cement pour completed in October 2014.

District 211 is the largest high school district in Illinois with a current enrollment of nearly 12,500 students. Natatoriums will be built at: James B. Conant High School, Palatine High School, Hoffman Estates High School, Schaumburg High School, and Fremd High School; with construction concluding in 2016.

Each facility is upgrading to state of the art timing systems from Colorado Time Systems including: Full color video displays, System 6 Timing Consoles, Quick Connect (in-deck) deck plates, Championship Start System, Relay Judging Platforms, and AquaGrip Touchpads.

Colorado Time Systems, Touchpad-standard“The construction of these natatoriums is exciting for these schools and the communities they serve,” said Anita Sayed, PlayCore Senior Vice President and Colorado Time Systems’ General Manager. “We look forward to a long and successful partnership with District 211.”

Not new pools, they are remodeling pools built in the 70s. And all 5 are in SCM, which makes it difficult to host invites, etc. Conant should be done by spring, and Fremd and Hoffman Estates go next. Schuamburg and Palatine will be done last.

To clarify, the remodel is from SCM to SCY and from 6 to 8 lanes.
