Breastroker Peyton Greenberg Commits to Northwestern

  0 Ian Murphy | October 08th, 2014

The Northwestern Wildcats picked up a verbal commitment from Peyton Greenberg, a solid all around swimmer from the Lakeside Swim Team and Dupont Manual High School  in Louisville, Kentucky.

Greenberg will bring a strong resume, which includes cuts for both winter nationals and summer junior nationals, with her to Evanston. She will likely make the biggest impact in the breaststroke and fly events, and that impact will likely come right away.

She has a Summer Juniors cut in the 100 and 200 breast, and Winter Juniors cuts in the 200 fly, 100 breast, and the 400 IM.

Her 100 breast, 1:03.02 would have been second on last year’s Northwestern team, and her 200 breast time, 2:15.46 would also have been good for second. Her fly times, 56.88 in the 100 and 2:02.81 in the 200, would both have been good for second on last year’s team.

She is also quick in the freestyle and IMs, her times include:

24.41 in the 50 free

52.66 in the 100 free

1:51.89 in the 200 free

2:04.94 in the 200 IM

4:23.59 in the 400 IM
