COLLEGE STATION — The Texas A&M men’s swimming and diving team will honor its Senior Class of 2016 prior to Friday’s annual dual meet against the SMU Mustangs at 7 p.m. at the Student Recreation Natatorium. Admission to the competition is free.
The Senior Class of 2016…

Mitch Glander, Kingwood, Texas / Kingwood HS
Antoine Marc, Houston, Texas / Westside HS
Mateo Muzek, Zagreb, Croatia / Miadost
Alexandros Theocharidis, Serres, Greece
Jacob Wallace, Houston, Texas / Cy-Creek
Last time out…
The Aggies are coming off a 158.5-141.5 road upset of No. 22 LSU last week in Baton Rouge. Texas A&M, which is receiving votes in the coaches’ top 25, won 10 of the 16 possible events against the Tigers, with senior Mateo Muzek and sophomores Brock Bonetti and Mauro Castillo each posting a pair of victories. The victory pushed the Aggies’ season record to 6-1, including a 2-1 record against SEC opponents.
Aggies vs. Mustangs…
The Mustangs of the American Athletic Conference come to the Student Recreation Natatorium with a 1-2 overall record and posted a 150-91 win over Incarnate Word in the team’s most recent dual meet action. The Aggies and Mustangs have contested a dual meet every year since 1980-81, and Texas A&M holds a 6-5 advantage over the Ponies under head coach Jay Holmes.
A&M has won the last three meetings and five of the last six contests against SMU. A win over the Mustangs would give the Aggies’ seven dual meet wins in 2015-16, which would the highest win total of Holmes’ head coaching career and the most since the Aggies were 8-2 in 2003-04.
