Part Time Coach – Kentucky Aquatics (Lexington, KY)
Kentucky Aquatics is hiring a part-time assistant coach to work primarily with 11–12-year-old swimmers. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base of training young swimmers, a strong work ethic, and will be able to work within a system developed by the Head Age Group Coach and Head Coach. The position will collaborate with, and report directly to, the Head Age Group Coach.
The position involves practice time on deck as well as attendance at at least one meet a month. Candidates should be in good standing with USA Swimming with at least basic certifications. KYA will reimburse coaches to obtain USA Coaching credentials when needed.
Pay will be $16-18 per hour based on experience.
Reporting directly to the Head Age Group Coach, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Motivating swimmers to practice and compete at the best of their abilities
– Assist in development and implementation of a season plan for 11-12 swimmers
– Teaching swimmers to set and achieve realistic goals
– Establishing and maintaining regular communication with swimmers, parents, and other coaches
– Collaboration with the coaching staff to manage day-to-day operations of the team, as well as contribute to the long-term development of the club
– Cover additional groups when needed
– Additional responsibilities as needed
