Georgia is coming off a massive NCAA championship win but will be in tough to repeat next season with some of the losses they have endured. With the graduations of three key seniors in Brittany MacleanHali Flickinger and Annie Zhu they’ll be looking for all the help they can get from their freshman. It’s hard to predict how a swimmer who hasn’t competed in yards her whole life will fare in the NCAA based off of their long course times, but Finnon looks like she’ll be able to come in and contribute immediately. Strongest in the distance freestyle and butterfly events, Finnon will make an impact at the SEC level her first year and has the potential to be a reliable NCAA scorer in the future.

Finnon hails from Scotland and competes for the East Kilbride Amateur Swim Team where she has seen national and international success in her young career. Some of her accomplishments include winning silver at the 2015 Scottish Short Course Championships in the 200 fly, winning silver in the 800 free and 200 fly at the 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games, and finishing 13th in the 200 fly at the recent British Olympic Trials in Glasgow.
