Riley Trout, a current high school senior from York, Pennsylvania, has committed to swim for DI Florida Atlantic University beginning in the fall. She will be graduating from York Suburban High School in the spring of 2021 and will join the Owls’ class of 2025.
Trout currently swims for the York YMCA. She is a 2018 USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and is a Futures, YMCA Nationals and Summer and Winter Juniors qualifier as well.
At the 2020 YMCA PA Central District Swimming Championships, Trout was champion in the 100 butterfly (57.84). She also placed 3rd in the 200 backstroke (2:17.95) at the 2019 YMCA Long Course National Championships.
She will be joining former teammates Alex Peckmann and Cameron Speed at FAU.

At the 2020 CCSA Championships with the Owls, Trout would have had multiple finals performances with her current best times, making her a valuable asset to the team. She would have placed 5th in three events – the 100 backstroke (55.90), 200 backstroke (1:59.38) and 200 butterfly (2:03.62). She also would have placed 11th in the 400 IM (4:28.30).
At this meet, the Florida Atlantic women placed 3rd as a team and were given CSCAA Scholar All-American status.
