WKU Transfers Schwingenschlogl and Laemmler Find Success At Mizzou (Video)

Video by Coleman Hodges.

Fabian Schwingenschlogl and Nadine Laemmler have both transitioned well from Western Kentucky, earning wins at last night’s Tennessee vs Missouri dual meet in Columbia.

From last night’s meet recap:

Both Tennessee and Missouri were aided by transfers in the backstroke events. Kira Toussaint transferred to Tennessee from Florida Gulf Coast and Nadine Laemmler transferred to Missouri after Western Kentucky disbanded. Both swimmers were fast, but it was Toussaint that got her hand on the wall first to win with a 54.34. Laemmler was second at 54.93, and although she didn’t win the 100, she later won the 200 backstroke by nearly three seconds with a 1:57.38.

The next great race was between Peter John Stevens of Tennessee and Fabien Schwingenschlogl of Missouri; another product of Western Kentucky. The pair raced through the men’s 100 breaststroke, finishing .07 apart. Stevens took home first place points with his time of 54.12, finishing just ahead of Schwingenschlogl’s 54.19.
