Wiktor Perkowski Transfers from Union College (KY) to Milligan

Former Union College (Kentucky) swimmer Wiktor Perkowski, from Poland, has announced he will be transferring to Milligan University as a graduate transfer for the 2021-2022 academic year.

During the 2020-2021 season, Perkowski was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-American At-Large First Team. He also finished with multiple NAIA top 10 times. Those times included third in the 100 butterfly (49.79), fifth in the 200 IM (1:53.40), and tenth in the 100 backstroke (52.08). (Note: Some of the top NAIA schools such as SCAD did not compete this past year due to COVID-19)

Perkowski is a multiple-time NAIA All-American and earned All-AAC Freshman of the Year honors during the 2018-2019 season.

His best short course times are:

  • 100 butterfly: 49.73
  • 200 IM: 1:52.81
  • 50 freestyle: 21.52
  • 100 freestyle: 47.29
  • 200 freestyle: 1:43.49
  • 200 breaststroke: 2:08.31

Perkowski graduated from Union College last spring with a degree in marketing. He will be pursuing a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) while at Milligan.

Milligan University is a private university located in Elizabethton, Tennessee. The school is a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

The Milligan men’s team was the 2021 Appalachian Athletic Conference champion.

Based on his best times, Perkowski has the potential to make an immediate impact for Milligan at both the conference and national levels as well as the school record book. His best times would earn him the school record in the 100 butterfly. He is just off the school records in the 50 freestyle (21.49), 100 freestyle (46.99), and 200 freestyle (1:42.78).

His best times would have earned him spots in the 2021 conference ‘A’ final of the 100 butterfly, 200 IM, 50, 100, and 200 freestyles, as well as 200 breaststroke. Perkowski’s best times also will assist at the national level as they have already achieved the provisional standard in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles, 200 IM, and 200 breaststroke. His 100 butterfly best time gives him the automatic standard already.
