Westlake and Woodlands To Fight For Texas 6A UIL Title

2016 Texas 5A and 6A UIL Championships

The Texas 5A and 6A High school state championships are gearing up to be an incredible meet. There will be several great individual races, but the larger team races should be just as exciting.

The Girls’ 6A meet should be a thriller. The defending champions, Austin Westlake won regionals over the Woodlands, but the psych sheet scoring shows the Woodlands are expected to win by a mere 14 points.

This will be the last year with only 16 swimmers entered in each event. Following this season, there will be two automatic qualifiers in each reason, compared to one, and then eight more call ups per event
