Videos have surfaced of some of the fast swims at the 2017 Chinese National Championships in Qingdao, China, which started on Monday, April 10th and will run through Wednesday, April 19th. Since the start of the meet, we’ve seen a handful of records go down.
On day 8, Chinese backtroke star Xu Jiayu was just shy of his National Record in the 50 back, as he captured the title and completed the backstroke sweep with a 24.48. Also completing sweeps were National Record holder Wang Shun and Olympic champ Sun Yang. Shun swept the IMs with the 400 IM title, while Sun completed the distance sweep with his gold in the 1500 free.
