VIDEO INTERVIEW: Katie Ledecky talks Metro Champs, records and pre-race strategies

SwimSwam caught up with American record-holder Katie Ledecky after her headline-grabbing performances at the D.C. Metro Championships to get her feelings on what was a huge weekend for the rising star.

Ledecky talks about her rest and preparation for the Metro meet, her pre-race strategies for distance races, plus what her future plans regarding events and entries for future competition.

I was at the meet and Katie must have given about 200 autographs/pictures including during the sessions between her events. Everyone in the DMV area is proud of her – for both her swimming and her grace and humility out of the water.

What a genuine person and as we can hear, the makings of a true NT leader.. The best part of that interview for me is the props she gives to her girls on that relay and her desire to be a part of the team. Fantastic that she has the wherewithal to include them all in a shout out the interview, congrats to all four girls on that relay!
