VIDEO INTERVIEW: Katie Hoff Decided This Weekend That She’ll Swim at U.S. Nationals

Katie Hoff was having a solid weekend in her return to major, national-level competition this weekend at the Mesa Grand Prix through the first two days. She made a couple of A-finals, had some season-best swims, and generally just competed.

And then the 200 IM happened. Her 2:12 in that race included a front-half that could have been Katie Hoff c. 2007, and she looked really impressive to win that race.

Hoff, in her interview, talks about what her plan is for the rest of the season, which meets she’ll attend, and mentions that after a successful weekend, she’s definitely planning on swimming at U.S. Nationals – which it sounds like might have been up in the air until now.

Great to see hoff back in form! One of my all time favorite swimmers. I think she really has a shot at the 200 IM and 800 free relay. Best of luck to her!!!

Hoff looked unbelievably amazing this weekend. Flawless swimming. I’d guess Pan Pacs in 800 free relay/200 IM based on her results.
