VIDEO INTERVIEW: Golden Gopher Daryl Turner talks about 4-win weekend vs UND

Minnesota sophomore Daryl Turner provided some of the biggest fireworks during Minnesota’s crushing 207-89 win over the University of North Dakota. He checked in with SwimSwam after the meet to share some thoughts.

Turner fit perfectly into the meet’s sprint format, winning the 100 free (44.75) as well as the 50 fly (21.97) while swimming on both winning 200-yard relays.

Check out the video above, where Turner talks about his swims as well as his expansion into sprint fly after becoming well-known for backstroke and freestyle prowess as a freshman. Turner also talks about his new role in the Minnesota sprinting corps after the graduation of Big Ten champ Derek Toomey and notes that fellow sophomore Paul Fair has become one of his go-to training partners.
