The Vermont women’s swimming & diving team raised more than $900 over the weekend at Oakledge Park with its participation in Laura’s March, an annual 5K walk/run which supports organizations that work to help end sexual violence.
Funds raised by the Catamounts will be donated to the Laura Kate Winterbottom Fund, which is dedicated to eliminating the sexual violence that took Laura’s life at the age of 31. The LKW Fund provides scholarships and other resources which enable disadvantaged children to participate in art or nature programs, while also supporting programs which help victims of sexual assault and domestic abuse.

Perhaps “fight” would be more appropriate than “end”. $900 is great, but it’s going to take a lot more to end sexual violence.
