United States Olympic Committee chairman Larry Probst said on Tuesday that he is hoping for a vote on whether or not the United States will put forth a bid to the IOC for the 2024 Olympics next week at their December 16th board meeting in Redwood City, California. According to the Chicago Tribune, Probst said that “the odds are good” that the U.S. will put forth a single-city bid to the IOC.

Each of the four finalists – Boston, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and San Francisco – will make an hour-long presentation to the USOC board. While the IOC now is allowing multi-city bids, the USOC says that they feel that any one of these four American cities is capable of hosting all events.

Probst also says that while the USOC may decide to bid next week, it could still be a few months before they announce which city will be put forward.
