Just wanted to echo my thanks for these amazing pictures plus some of the other collections from the trials, it’s good to see some different takes on swimmers other than the usual same-old competition shots.

Eugene Godsoe was the 100 fly champ, not Ryan Lochte. Yep

Good catch “G” & “B” – I’m surprised I mis-captioned that photo (mistakenly went off the prelims sheet); Eugene Godsoe’s swim was a great performance.

Very unusual photos indeed. It’s nice to get also a short glimpse of swimmers when they are not in action. There is a couple of things I’m getting used to; the things that apparently don’t change no matter when the photos are taken.

First is Dana Vollmer’s bun under her cap. I don’t know why but it somehow draws attention to it. Second is Nathan Adrian’s goggles. For some reason I paid attention to his goggles already in London and seemingly he likes that model. I’m not sure if they are the same but at least they look to be.

Best photo of these US championships is Cassidy Bayer after her first sub one minute in the 100 fly. Perhaps best swimswam photo ever.
