Team USA Warm-Up FINA World Championships Photo Vault

Pool swimming kicks off tomorrow in Budapest, Hungary at the 2017 FINA World Championships. We’re excited to have our swimming photographer Mike Lewis on site to help bring in some of the visual action.  Here’s a bit from “day 0” with Team USA getting in their final warm up before the meet starts.

Are there any real studies, yet, that show cupping has any positive effects (other than, maybe, a psychological boost)? Or are they still just big round hickeys?

I wonder if Murphy will be in the 4×100 free relay prelims. Why else would he be practicing a relay start?

FINA probably made a tiny, last minute change to the traditional backstroke start. Now you can get a running start and dive off the starting block anytime after the start says “Place your feet”
