Tate Jackson is a competitive swimmer who represents the United States internationally. College (Texas) 2015-2016 In his freshman season, Jackson won a Big-12 title in the 50 free (19.25) and added 2 more top-8 finishes in the 100 free (4th, 43.74) and 100 fly (7th, 47.63) at the same meet. At the NCAA Championships that year, Jackson finished 20th in the 50 free (19.56) and 29th in the 100 free (43.33). 2016-2017 His sophomore year, Jackson won his first national title as a part of the longhorns' 200 free relay, which also set the pool record in Indianapolis. At the same meet, Jackson placed 16th in the 50 free (19.69), 17th in the 100 free (42.61) and 44th in the 100 fly (47.53). At the Big-12 Championships earlier that year, Jackson finished third in the 100 free (42.79) and fourth in the 50 free (19.52). 2017-2018 Jackson's role on the team became bigger his junior year, as he was part of the fourth place 200 free relay and 400 free relay teams, the fifth place 200 medley relay and ninth place 400 medley relay at the NCAA Championships.
