Presenting the MP Weekly Wonders for the weekend of April 6-April 8, 2018.
Dant was a tier above the rest in the mile, clocking a 14:50.97 to slice over six seconds off of his own national record from last year. He now ranks 24th in 17-18 history in this event.
Brendan Burns dropped a new personal best in the 200 free, leading off the Upper Main Line YMCA men’s 800 free relay in 1:36.01.
Braswell’s best time coming into the meet was 4:19.21, which she swam at last year’s Y Nats. She dropped a 4:15.78 in prelims, which was already a decent drop, until she dropped almost another 7 seconds in finals.
The last prelims session of the meet will feature the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, and 200 fly.
It’s that time of year again where we at SwimSwam rank out the top 20 high school swimming prospects in the upcoming NCAA recruiting class. It’s a butterfly-heavy class, and so fittingly, California flyer Eva Merrell is at the top of the list.
YMCA National Champion Caitlin Tycz will be a Trojan at USC in the fall.
