Konrad Czerniak is a competitive swimmer who represents Poland internationally. He has been a staple for Polish swimming, primarily in butterfly and freestyle, since 2010 when he won a bronze medal in the 100 fly at the European championships. 2011 World Championships Czerniak won a silver medal in the 100 fly in Shanghai, setting national records in both the semi finals (51.54) and final (51.15). He also swam the 100 free, where he placed 9th overall (48.48) in the semi finals. 2012 Olympic Games In London, Czerniak again swam the 100 free and 100 fly. He reached the final of the 100 fly, ultimately touching in 8th (52.05). In the 100 free, he touched the wall at 48.44 to tie for 9th in the semi finals, missing out on the final heat. 2013 World Championships 2013 saw Konrad back on the international medal podium when he repeated as a 100 butterfly medalist. In the final heat, he touched the wall at 51.46, good for 3rd place and a bronze medal. In the 100 free, after going into semi finals as the 2nd seed (48.50), Konrad fell to 15th overall (48.78) and missed the final. 2014 European Championships Konrad opted out of the 100 free, focusing on the 100 …
