Alex Vutech Alex Vutech was born in Lebanon, NH on November 9th, 1993 to parents Tambrey and Kenneth Vutech. She grew up in Woodstock, VT where she learned to swim at the Woodstock Recreation Center at the age of five. She began to compete in summer league on the Woodstock Swim Team at the age of six with her older sister Ashley. From there, she began competing on the CCBA Swordfish under Coach K.C. Shepherd. When her club team was dissolved in 2010, Alex joined the Upper Valley Aquatic Club in White River Junction, Vermont for her junior and senior years of high school under coach Dorsi Raynolds. Alex completed her freshmen year of college at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois. After an 18 month hiatus from swimming, Alex transferred to Simmons College in Boston, MA, where she began competing at the Division III level under Head Coach Mindy Williams. In addition, Alex went back to where her swimming career started, and began coaching Woodstock Swim Team in the summer of 2014.
