Ok. We are a little late with that “weekly wonders” from 2 weeks ago but that’s alright. 🙂

BOYS
9-year-old Humberto Najera from South Bay Aquatics
4.50.26 in the 400 free!

12-year-old Destin Lasco from Pleasantville Aquatics
2.06.24 in the 200 free
1.01.65 in the 100 back
2.13.99 in the 200 free!!!! 😥
He had already swum 2.14.00 in early June!
The 11/12 NAG record is 2.13.91 by Ryan Murphy!
I don’t know when Mr Lasco turns 13 but the record should fall very soon.

11-year-old Keane Alejandro from Canyons Aquatic Club
1.17.65 in the 100 breast
2.42.51 in the 200 breast

15-year-old Michael Andrew from Indie Swimming

A few more details.
Correction of the name for Matthew Hirschberger.
I add a good 2.13.99 for Emma Schanz in the 200 back. So she’s a good breast/back swimmer. I never heard of her before Santa Clara.
And I also add a 1.00.43 in the 100 fly and a 2.13.46 in the 200 back for Janet Hu from NCAP. I know she’s a beast in short course but I still wonder what is her real level in long course so it’s promising to see her swim that kind of performances while being untapered. It looks good for August.

Andrew Seliskar was 1:59.98 in the 200 fly at the same meet Hu was at.

Interesting that there are not any swimmers from either the Santa Clara Grand Prix or the Fran Crippen meet. There were definitely some stand out age group swims and swimmers there to say the least.
