SwimMac Elite’s photography has been incredible of late. Here’s a cool shot of Katie Meili, who will be swimming the 100m breaststroke at the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games.

Few things are better than belly flop contests. This, however, takes the cake. A belly flop contest INSTEAD of a dreaded swim set, AND the video’s in slo-mo!? Sign me up.

Did my first flip turn since April today… Baby steps ?
— Amy Bilquist (@amybilquist) July 9, 2015
Yay, Amy! After having to sit out from multiple meets this summer and focus on recovering from stress fractures in her legs, Bilquist, who is an American record holder in an SCM relay, shared some great news. The Cal commit will be working to heal up fully in time to start competing for the Golden Bears come fall.

No tweet here, just a few words of congratulations for every swimmer who qualified for Olympic Trials this weekend. NICE WORK! We’ve seen so many tweets shouting out friends for their shiny new OT cuts, and we want to applaud your efforts. Congratulations to everyone, and we’ll see you in Omaha!

I found something new in my swimming. Let's see if it works this weekend in Athens Georgia at the swim meet. Either way I'm excited to race
— Ryan Lochte (@RyanLochte) July 8, 2015
Ryan Lochte created some buzz on Twitter with this cryptic tweet, which turned out to be foreshadowing for a new underwater element of his freestyle. Lochte also swam his entire 50 free underwater at a finals session of the Athens Speedo Sectional, going faster than he did in the morning session doing freestyle. OK, Ryan.

Looks like an exaggeration, but any distance swimmer knows this feeling. One week out of the big meet? Coach says anyone swimming more than a 200 yard race at Champs can do some 500s at race pace. Or, like it shows here, 5 miles of warm down after 8 800 IMs.

Proud of myself for racing today! Pregnancy with 7wks bed rest, labor, a newborn, and only two months of training I couldn't be happier ❤️?
— Dana Vollmer (@danavollmer) July 12, 2015
The 100 meter butterfly World Record holder, Dana Vollmer, made it official Thursday on Twitter that she’s back to race. She’s been through a lot, and swam a great 100 fly this morning, nearly breaking a minute for the #2 seed going into finals. She followed that up with another 1:00 in finals to finish sixth overall.

Number one, ladies and gents. There isn’t much to add to this, but going to practice is definitely advised. Shia says so.
