Lars Jorgensen has had a solid first recruiting season in his first year in Lexington. He adds another swimmer, Aubrey Jones, who swims for SwimAtlanta – John’s Creek out of the Suwanee, Georgia area.

Jones is a primarily freestyle and backstroker, where she is strong in the middle distance races. Her progression is very strong, dropping a considerable amount of time throughout high school. Jorgensen has a history of developing raw, late bloomers in the sport, just take a look at his swimmers from Toledo.

With continued development at the college level, Jones could find herself scoring at the SEC’s in a couple of seasons. Here are her best times:

100 Freestyle: 53.04
200 Freestyle: 1:51.76
500 Freestyle: 5:01.57
100 Backstroke: 58.25
200 Backstroke: 2:01.00

Jones competes for Lambert High School, where she currently holds the 200 freestyle, 200 FR-R, and 400 FR-R records that are updated through their 2012 season.

Last year at high schools states, she was a top 8 finalist in the 200 and 500 freestyle, plus was the 6A State Champion in the 400 freestyle relay.
