DESCRIPTION

The City of Dublin operates two competitive swimming programs for the Dublin Community. The Dublin Sea Dragons are a year round USA swimming club and is home to 300+ swimmers and placed in the top ten at state championship for age group swimming. Our Dublin Dolphins program is run during the summer season at our outdoor community pools as a strictly rec based league that is a feeder program into our Sea Dragons team.

Candidate must assist in the creation, coordination and implementation of recreational swim team programs to meet the needs of the local community. Provides a high level of customer service responding to customer inquiries and/or complaints.

Supervises seasonal and part time staff.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Coordinate programming of swim teams. Evaluates teams utilizing feasibility assessments and recommends program changes. Administers programs including scheduling of staff, equipment and supplies, facility and logistical planning.
Assists with supervision of work unit specific seasonal and part time staff, including recruiting, performance evaluations, staff audits and discipline.

Responds to initial complaints or program issues with public and/or patrons. Uses discretion when escalating issues or complaints to appropriate supervisor or administrator.

Process program registration, transfers and cancellations utilizing RecTrac software

Liaison between booster group for both community swim teams

Proficient with Hy-tek software, Team Unify website, and Colorado Timing System

Liaison with local high school swim team program

Maintains staff certifications and background checks in accordance with facility policy

Approves and corrects Kronos software time entries for all scheduled employees.

Manages personnel issues and recommends disciplinary actions.

Inspects facilities for safety, hazards, deficiencies and cleanliness.

Performs routine office functions when necessary (i.e., answering phone, scheduling facility requests, program participant registration).

Liaison with other departments and work units to identify, notify and act upon client and facility needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in recreation or related field or any equivalent combination of accepted education and experience that would provide the above knowledge, abilities, and skills. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a head coach or supervisory capacity required. Certifications in work unit specific areas include: USA swimming, CPR/AED, First Aid and Safety Training for Swim Coaches required.

Why is the date required 2013? Why is the upper limit of salary $56,000 in one place and $56,600 in another?
