Suzanne Harris Commits to James Madison University for 2021-22

Suzanne Harris, a current high school junior from Roanoke, Virginia, has committed to swim for Division I James Madison University. Harris will graduate from Cave Spring High School in spring 2021 and join JMU’s class of 2025.

Harris currently swims for the Virginia Gators. In 2019, she was the 200 IM champion (2:05.63) and placed 3^rd in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.31) at the VHSL 3A State Championships. She is also a Futures and Junior Nationals qualifier.

Harris’s primary events are the breaststroke and IM events—particularly the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM.

This year at the 2020 Colonial Athletic Association Championships, Harris would have placed 8^th in the 200 IM (2:06.12) and 15^th in the 400 IM (4:30.05) with her current best times as a high school junior. She would have been JMU’s 2^nd fastest 200 IM’er and 4^th fastest 100 breaststroke swimmer at this meet.

At the CAA Championships earlier this year, JMU placed 1^st as a team.
