St. Bonaventure Women Earn Scholar All-America Team Honor from CSCAA

St. Bonaventure’s women’s swimming and diving team has earned the designation of a Scholar All-America Team from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

The recognition is a result of the Bonnies’ academic performance in the spring semester – a team Grade Point Average of 3.42.

St. Bonaventure earned the same award in the fall 2014 semester. Overall, the team’s cumulative GPA is 3.39.

To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the spring semester.

“Swimmers and divers devote incredible time and effort into their sport, and it’s evident that that discipline carries over into the classroom,” CSCAA executive director Joel Shinofield said. “This shows that across the board, our coaches and teams are serving the mission of their universities and athletic departments.”

Thirteen members of St. Bonaventure’s team earned Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll accoldaes for the spring semester with better than a 3.5 GPA: Rachel Bull, Lauren Caldwell, Adelyn Graf, Shannon HabermanTaylor Hodges, Bridget Jordan, Tanja Kirmse, Luci Kovalovsky, Elizabeth Malone, Meaghan McCann, Aly PazAlexa Scanlan, and Kati Winterburn.

The Bonnies are coached by Krista Carlson, a 2009 St. Bonaventure graduate who recently completed her first season as head coach.
