South Florida IMer Jonathan Farah to Swim for Boston College in Fall

Jonathan Farah, a senior at American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida, will brave the New England winters to swim for Boston College in the fall. Farah is an all-round talent who took the bronze medal in the 200 IM (1:53.14) at the 2015 FHSAA Class 2A Swimming and Diving Championships last November. He also placed eighth in the 100 back (53.58), swam breast (26.30) on AHS’ fourth-place medley relay, and split 21.51 on their second-place 200 free relay.

Farah swims for South Florida Aquatic Club in Coral Springs. His top SCY events include:

200 IM – 1:53.14
100 back – 52.96
200 back – 1:56.50
100 breast – 59.01
100 fly – 52.61
200 fly – 1:55.75

Farah will join fellow-commit Griffin Taylor in the Boston College class of 2020.

“I committed to Boston College because it was the perfect blend of athletics and academics. I wanted to go to a school that could challenge and better me both academically and athletically, and Boston College was the perfect fit. I really hope that I can get the most out of my four years, and hopefully I can play a big role in taking the swim team to the next level.”
