South Carolina Heads To UNC, Duke For Final Regular-Season Meet

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The University of South Carolina swimming and diving program will compete in its final meet of the regular season as they head to the Janis Hope Dowd Carolina College Nike Invitational co-hosted by North Carolina and Duke.

Preliminary sessions will be held at UNC’s Maurice J. Koury Natatorium on Friday morning, February 3 and Sunday morning, February 5 at 10 a.m. Final sessions on Friday evening and Sunday evening will be at 6 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.

Saturday’s competition will be held at Duke’s Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.

Participating teams include North Carolina, Duke, NC State, William and Mary, James Madison, Old Dominion, UNCW, Towson, Florida State and Florida.

The meet will not be scored for team purposes. Three championship finals will be held in each event in C-B-A order with up to eight finalists in each heat.

South Carolina men’s and women’s teams are coming off of a successful weekend at home, defeating East Carolina, UNCW, Queens and Wingate in the SC College Invitational, January 27-28.
